The rain in Manila this afternoon was unexpected. We already planned to visit the Manila Ocean Park and the sudden downpour of rain almost ruined it. The streets along Avenida immediately were flooded within minutes of rain, and our aim to get a Jeepney became almost impossible. But we saw a make-shift small bridge made of wood that was improvised by the “tambays”. Leave it to the very innovative pinoys to make money during these times. We were asked some coins so we can safely cross the street without soaking our feet to the dark and gross water. They earned, and our shoes were dry. it was actually a win-win deal.Good thing we were able to get a cab once we reached Luneta.
This isn’t our first time in the park, but the place still amazes me, Jojo, and Cholo.
